Derrick joined VenGrowth in 2006. He is an integral group member with many key responsibilities including the review of business plans and the negotiation of potential investments. Before VenGrowth, Derrick worked as a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst with Wolseley plc., responsible for reviewing business plans, valuing target companies, and performing research and due diligence. Prior to that, he worked in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP., responsible for planning and execution of audit engagements. Derrick holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics degree (with distinction), and a Master of Accounting degree. As well, he is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA).
