Dr. Lavoie
joined VenGrowth in 2003. She is an accomplished
academic with over 10 years of research and development
work experience.
Before VenGrowth, Cynthia was an Investment Program
Manager with the Ontario Genomics Institute. Prior
to this, Cynthia was a Marketing Strategy Consultant
with Vasogen, where she evaluated the commercial
feasibility of entering various medical markets.
Cynthia holds her Master of
Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the
University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management,
a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from McGill
University and B.Sc. (Honours) in Biology, majoring
in Biotechnology, from the University of Ottawa.
Following her doctoral studies, Cynthia was a Research
Fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical
Center.
