Frédéric joined VenGrowth in the summer of 2008. He brings a deep scientific background coupled with bioentrepreneurial experience.

Prior to VenGrowth, Fred worked at an investment bank and helped private life sciences companies secure financing. As well, he was intricately involved with the MaRS Discovery District and organized bioentrepreneurial courses. He also appeared numerous times as a guest speaker.

During his scientific training, Fred acquired a deep expertise in cancer-related phenomenon by using structural and molecular biology and small molecule biochemistry. His background includes years of research in other areas such as neurobiology, developmental biology human and yeast genetics.

Fred holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Medical Genetics from the University of Toronto where he was a Terry Fox Scholar of the National Cancer Institute of Canada.
